First came love, then came marriage,
My family portraits are more about the going ons, the quiet moments, the day to day life that you otherwise would try to catch with an iPhone. Life is about the sticking up hair and the squishy toes, the food covered faces and the gales of laughter. Things you take for granted at the time, but look back fondly on later. Things you remember with a smile.
THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT THE CHAOS AND THE MESS.
THE FLEETING MOMENTS THAT YOU CAN'T MAKE UP.
My usual family portraits are an on-location, hour long chunk of time for us to play, grow, eat, laugh, build. My approach to family portraits is the same as my approach to weddings - authenticity, candidness, laughter, fun.
I also offer a half day shoot (3-4 hours) to document a slice of your every day life. We choose one of your routines - either getting up and starting your day, or winding down to go to sleep - and I come and follow you through your motions. Document those things that seem so routine and mundane now, but tomorrow, you have forgotten about completely.
