Oh, Hello, Beautiful

So you're considering a boudoir shoot.

So, why is there a boudoir section in a mostly-wedding site?
Because. There's no time like now to treat yourself a bit.

If you're a woman getting married,
what better time is there to do a boudoir shoot
than on the day of your hair and make-up trial?

Once upon a time, I was a maid of honor. I got a hair and make up trial with my bestie and I walked out into the world feeling beautiful, feeling glamorous, feeling like hot shit, and what did I do with the day? I returned a microwave to Walmart. Don't be me - every moment you feel glam, you should definitely take advantage of.

My philosophy on boudoir (and in photography in general) is that I want to be true to your personality, and to keep the photos as YOU as possible. Different things make women feel sexy - some like lace and pearls, some like tank tops and boy shorts, some wear their boyfriend's sweaters or button downs. Boudoir is really about what makes you, specifically, feel sexy. So don't feel like you have to buy anything additional for the shoot, unless you want to - it might just be a matter of sorting through your (or your significant other's) drawers.

My preference is to photograph women in their homes - again, to make it as personal as I can for you. But everyone has different preferences and there are lots of choices. Hotel rooms are great because there is such a variety of them - you can go chic and sleek, funky and fun, simple and seductive. AirBNB is also another great choice. Let's talk - I'm more than happy to help you figure out what suits you best.

And if you're nervous and you're not sure - email me anyway! If you've made it this far, you're definitely thinking about it. Drop me a line, and I'll send you back a list of questions - not necessarily that I need answered to do your boudoir shoot, but, more importantly, to get you thinking and in the mindset of what makes you feel sexy and what you want to get out of a boudoir shoot.

So let's go! Shoot me an email for more info!

Oh, and, in case you were wondering,
I did finally make it in front of the camera all dolled-up.
So believe me. I've been there.
