Corinne + Jeremy | A walking Boston elopement
These two. Pretty much the first thing I learned when I met Corinne and Jeremy was that they liked - nay, LOVE - their Fitbits. Pretty much the second thing I learned was that they were going to take me on a 5 mile walk from their apartment in Kenmore to their ceremony/reception location at Gather in the Seaport - ON their wedding day. True story! Good thing I like them so much :) So, on their wedding day, I trek over to Kenmore to their apartment. They had told me their apartment overlooks Fenway, but pretty much everyone in the Kenmore area says they overlook Fenway, so I didn't think too much of it. So, imagine my surprise when I waltz up to Fenway - on game day - cross the street from the Green Monster and all the action, and right into Corinne and Jeremy's apartment. Amazing. While they got ready, we watched the game on mute on TV and listened for the cheers across the street for hints. Speaking of getting ready, other amazing things that happened:
1. They decided they would play Guitar Hero while Corinne got her hair done (it's what they did when they met - minus the getting-hair-done).
2. Jeremy walked out holding a suit on a hanger and a couple of shirts and asked Corinne's opinion what he should wear today. You know. Just another day.
C + J got married at Gather in Boston. As they told me, it was supposed to be an elopement, technically, but after a 2 year engagement, it turned into something more wedding-y. Simple, pretty, intimate. They started the ceremony already standing where they wanted, and one of their friends flagged down the guest's attention. They had a modified Quaker ceremony, and lots of guests pitched in to speak. Touching. Beautiful.
3. They dressed each other. I love love love couples that get ready together.
